The “Enoteca Turi” managed by Giuseppe and Pamela Turi promises Italian flair in the heart of London. In 1990, Giuseppe Turi, a sommelier from the south of Italy who moved to the British capital in 1985, opened his restaurant in South West London. After more than 25 years at that location, the “Enoteca Turi” moved to Pimlico Road in the centre of London close to the River Thames to fascinate its guests with Italian cuisine and an exclusive selection of wines.
The couple commissioned the London based architectural office DRAISCI STUDIO LTD. with the design of the new premises. With a colour design reminiscent of a sunny Italian landscape, they created a warm, intimate atmosphere. Almost 50 Thonet chairs models 404 and 404 F in stained walnut – some upholstered and with Cognac and Bordeaux coloured leather covers – harmoniously fit in with the restaurant and the private dining room on the lower level. The tables and chairs are surrounded by large mirrors, a golden brick wall and decorative wine shelves.
