In 2011 the Regional Church Office Erfurt moved into the 500 year-old “Collegium Maius”, the former main building of the Old University of Erfurt, and the new neighbouring building. Both buildings are now furnished with Thonet chairs, desks and sideboards: the large hall was equipped with over 250 chairs from programme range S 164. The straight-lined, elegant and very comfortable chair programme range can be flexibly arranged and easily stacked.
The seating in the hall can be adjusted depending on the scale of the event. In addition to the chairs, an oak desk system consisting of desk model 1210 and the office furniture of programme range 1800 was chosen for furnishing the offices. Their simple elegance emphasizes the extension added to the “Collegium Maius” building in 1998 with an old-style design. In 2012, the new building of the Regional Church Office designed by Steinblock Architekten won the “Thuringian State Award for Architecture”.
