Chairs 404 F

The Kunsthalle Munich has been prominently located in the “Fünf Höfe” city quarter designed by the renowned Swiss architectural office Herzog & de Meuron since 2001. The Café of the Kunsthalle was refurnished with chair range 404 by Stefan Diez as part of a complete redesign. The wooden chair combines historic charm and contemporary design in top Thonet quality. With its large, straight window fronts, the architecture of the Café forms a suspenseful contrast with the soft, curved form of the chair. The interior design concept was developed by the Munich office seven Elohim, which translated the successful café and bistro tradition of the Thonet furniture into a contemporary design language. Thanks to its generous armrests and ergonomically shaped seat, chair 404 F offers the highest sitting comfort. Design, art and culinary delights couldn’t possibly be more perfectly combined.
